Start a PVC NFC card update by asking what changed and where it appears. Check the physical card and digital profile separately. Editing a profile does not change printed information. An ADMAL PVC NFC business card combines printed details with an ADMAL Digital profile and NFC/QR routes. Each part has a different update path.
PVC NFC card update: separate the information into four layers
| Layer | What the current ADMAL card lists | What to do after a change |
|---|---|---|
| Printed card | The logo, name, brand identity or requested information may be printed; the specifications also list a name and information on the back | Editing a digital profile does not change printed text. If the physical wording must change, prepare a newly printed card and review its design |
| ADMAL Digital profile | A hosted profile connected to the product’s NFC and QR routes | ADMAL’s User Guide says to edit the existing item when changing data; reopen the public page after saving to verify it |
| Printed QR code | A QR code printed on the card | Its destination is static after production; confirm it before manufacture, and do not treat a profile edit as a change to the code itself |
| NFC destination | An embedded NFC chip linked to the digital profile | The product specifications say the cardholder can change the destination locally while holding the card; ADMAL cannot change it remotely |
These layers serve different purposes. If you update the phone number shown in the digital profile, the number printed on the PVC card does not change. If the printed QR continues to open a fixed destination, that does not mean every detail on the page is fixed. The listing connects the QR and NFC routes to a digital profile, while its specifications say the printed QR destination itself is static. Check the destination and the displayed data separately.
PVC NFC card update checklist for a new phone number
Use this PVC NFC card update checklist to review the changed detail in each place it appears.
1. Locate the old number
Check both printed sides, the digital profile and the pages reached through the QR and NFC routes. Do not submit a vague update request until you know whether the old number appears in printed text, a profile field, a call action or several places.
2. Edit the existing digital profile
ADMAL’s User Guide says to open the existing item and use its edit controls when changing data, rather than creating a duplicate link just to update it. Save the change, open the public page and confirm that the new number appears in the right place and the link works.
3. Check the card’s fulfillment mode during a PVC NFC card update
In Duplicate mode, the product page says every card in the quantity uses the same profile, links and information. Review the shared profile before editing it, because the digital route is shared across those cards. In Unique mode, each card gets its own profile, links and information according to the listing; review only the record belonging to the relevant cardholder.
4. Inspect the QR destination
Scan the printed code and open its destination. If you only need to update a phone number inside the linked profile, verify that same page after the edit. If the QR must open a different address, remember that its printed destination is static after production. Settle the destination before any new manufacturing.
5. Check NFC separately if its destination changed
If the profile stays the same and only a phone field changes, you may not need to change the NFC destination. If NFC should open a different address, the PVC card specifications say the owner can change it locally while holding the card; ADMAL cannot rewrite it remotely. Editing profile details and redirecting the chip are separate tasks. The NFC Forum overview explains how NFC works.
6. Decide whether the physical card must change
If the printed name, title or phone number is now wrong, a digital edit cannot remove that text from the card. Record which printed element needs changing and review a new design before approving it. If the printed details remain accurate but the digital profile needs an update, do not change the physical layout without a reason.
PVC NFC card update examples by change type
- Only the phone number changed: update the phone field or contact action in the existing profile and check its public page. Then inspect the printed card to see whether the old number also appears there.
- The job title changed but the person did not: edit the title field if the profile uses it, then inspect the print. NFC and QR may still point to the same profile, but the printed title does not update automatically.
- An employee joined another company: review the company name, logo, links, printed information and profile. If the card represents the former company’s identity, decide which physical elements must change before the new employee reuses it.
- The office location changed: check the profile address and map links, then inspect the QR and NFC routes. Do not assume that changing an address on an ADMAL page rewrites a separate printed QR destination or changes the NFC setup. For UAE branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Ajman, check each relevant profile address and map link. Apply the same check to branches in Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah. A profile edit does not change printed details or a static QR destination.
Remember the hosted-profile terms
The PVC specifications include two months of ADMAL Digital. After that included period, the applicable annual product subscription keeps the hosted profile, active links, analytics and tracking available. If the owner does not renew the annual subscription, ADMAL stops those hosted features while the physical card remains with its owner. Check two separate things: whether the physical card still carries accurate information, and whether the hosted profile remains active and available. For current terms, see ADMAL’s annual product subscriptions; these are separate from Digital QR plans.
Before approving any update, keep a short record of the old field, new value, where it appears, its linked destination and who checked it. This helps you review the changes without collecting details you do not need. Start with the PVC NFC card specifications and the ADMAL Digital ID editing guide.
Frequently asked questions
Does editing a phone number in ADMAL change the printed number? No. Editing a digital profile does not change the physical print. Review whether a new physical design is needed if the printed text itself must change.
Can the printed QR code be edited after production? No. The product specifications say its destination is static after production, so confirm it beforehand.
Does the NFC destination change automatically when the profile is edited? Keep the two tasks separate. Editing profile information is different from changing the chip’s destination; the product specifications say the cardholder can change NFC locally and ADMAL cannot change it remotely.
What should I check on a Duplicate order? Review the shared profile. The listing says that all cards in the quantity use the same ADMAL Digital profile, NFC link, QR code and information.
What should I check on a Unique card? Review the individual cardholder’s profile, links and information, and confirm that they match the correct card.
Does ADMAL Digital remain available without renewal? The specifications say that hosted features, active links, analytics and tracking stop if the annual product subscription is not renewed after the included period; the physical card remains with its owner.
